The two famous compartments of the toy train.

The two famous mountain railways of India are located in the Himalayas and the Western Ghats. The flora and fauna of the mountains is the most scenic view along the train tracks.Early morning train journey is an amazing time to watch sun rise and the changing colors around the sky and the mountain tops. The interesting fact is the train tickets are issued before 6:30 am and the train has only two heritage compartments. The first class and the second class.

The railway stations are small and  filmy. There are many heritage fun facts about the train and the station. The ticketing counter is a small window and the exteriors of the station is wooden which  makes it  look is a mountain railway station.

The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway track is like a flowing river with twist and turns as flexible from town street to bridges on the ridge. The train passes very close to the mountain on one side and the valley on the other shifting its direction like the Northern lights of the North pole.

The loops are the most interesting facts of railway engineering. They are designed to gain quick acceleration by the train. The Batasia loop is a spiral track with a double loop located on the Hill Cart Road. The summit of the train is the Ghum station from here Mt Kanchenjunga is clearly visible.
