Mountain Mist at Munnar, Kerala.
Munnar is the one of the most beautiful hilltops in South India, included to the part of Western Ghats passing through Kerala. The climate is very pleasant, chilled, misty & cloudy. Here’s lot of greenish tea plantation hills, deep forest ranges, river valleys(Periyar), water falls, lakes, dams etc.. Asia’s largest arch dam, ‘the Idukki Dam’ is constructed in river periyar, as a part of Western Ghats. Also India’s second largest mountain peak Aanamudi is located near to Munnar. There’s also located a well-known biological hotspot & national park namely Eravikulam National Park, which is very famous for having an endemic species called Nilgiri Thar. Munnar is reknowned as the ‘South Indian Kashmir’ due to its amazing peaceful chilled beauty of nature. There’s a lot of greeny hills with tea plantations, as well as natural lakes, man made bunds, huge dams like Idukki dam (Asia’s largest Arch Dam) & Mullaperiyar etc..
