One thing not miss here
The incredible views of the Sahyadri mountain range
Ate at
Rajatadri restaurant, not a lot of choice in Satara town

Western ghats were not on the UNESCO list when I visited in 2012, but they were just as incredibly beautiful!

We were in Satara to run the first edition of the Satara Marathon (I only did a half) and went visiting the Kaas Plateau the previous day. It had already started raining so did not see a lot of flowers, but the views were just amazing. Clouds hanging lower than the hills, lakes everywhere and everything just so so green.
