Most of us have gone to the Old Fort for a school picnic or to watch the very graphic sound and light show. But, how many of us know that the wide spread Purana Qila is actually built over the ancient city of Indraprastha?
Pottery from the period of the janapadas has been found in the Purana Qila, taking the habitation of this place back to 600BCE. So what did the city of Indraprastha look like? Do the Pandavas and Kauravas exist merely in mythology or were they actual historical figures? Was the battle of Kurukshetra actually fought?
Join us on 23rd July as we lead you onto a journey of exploration of one of the greatest epics of the world, Mahabharata in an unlikely setting – the grand Purana Qila.
Let’s retell Mahabharata, this time from the perspective of Draupadi!
