Modi - travel to 15 destinations in india with Go Heritage Runs

My recent trip to Blue mountains left me spellbound.I took a train from Sydney Central station to Katoomba and got a cold welcome, the weather was pleasant. We booked a trip for 99 $ to visit the Scenic World in the Blue mountains. The mountain got its name from the hazy blue colour formed by the mist of tiny droplets of oil from the eucalyptus trees growing in the mountains.

Our red Blue mountain Explorer hop in bus arrived in time and our tour of the most beautiful National park ,a UNESCO heritage site in New South Wales had started. The driver cum guide helped us and explained how we can use our ticket as a guide and get down at the most interesting spots and then board another hop in bus.Sounds convenient!

So as it was pleasant we decide to get down at the Scenic World and took a cable ride on a glass bottomed cable car, to the other side of the mountain. We could see the blue eucalyptus trees and got a good view of the famous three sisters.Next we took a train ride on the world’s steepest funicular railway with an incline of 128%.

We got the most interesting view of the famous three sisters at the Echo point and the panoramic view of Jamison valley. We had an opportunity to touch one of the sisters as we descended the rickety and dangerous Giant stairs towards the honeymoon point. It was all worth the trouble with a fascinating view and breathtaking scenery.

After a tiring walk we boarded our hop in bus ,got down at Leura Cascades. We walked down the scenic picturesque bush walk ,moving to Leura water falls, got the real experience of the rain forests.Spending some time in the picnic area, listening to the birds chirping and the sound of gurgling water. We spend some time clicking pictures in the artificial cave shelters.By 4.30 pm we were back to Katoomba Station.A memorable day indeed !
