The UNESCO World Heritage Committee is meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia to decide on the sites which would be inscribed to the World Heritage Sites list.

Parts of the Indian Western Ghats were on the proposed list, but looks like it has been rejected again. TOI report – here.

Update – The Hindu says that the ghats have made it to the list now! Link. UNESCO website confirms this – link.
