Certain symbols that were used to depict Buddha were ; Stupa, Lotus, the Bodhi Tree, White elephant etc. Ajanta caves Ajanta caves are mainly known for two things; Paintings and Sculptures. The paintings here are so beautiful and breathtaking that people really forget appreciating the sculptures. When one talks about the classical style of painting in India, Ajanta would be the first place to come to mind. With such intricate details the paintings here become the best depicted ones in the world. Though not many caves are left with paintings now, Cave no 1 showcases the best.
